Composition of the stones
Natural stone is widely used in public buildings (hotels, restaurants, Banks, hospitals, exhibition, laboratory, etc.) and home decorating (the kitchen countertops, commode, hutch is defended metope, table, tea table, window, door cover, etc.). Natural stones are cut from nature’s supply of rock solid resources and are formed naturally. They have an impressive and beautiful variety of colours and bright textures and can be carved into different shapes and sizes. Artificial stones on the other hand, are made from high density plastic or cement which is moulded to mimic the texture and surface of a stone. They are then sprayed, dyed, coated or painted to represent real stones. A grainy paste made from pulverized marble, gypsum, natural pigments etc. is set as stucco on some artificial surface. Aesthetically though, they represent the natural stone surface in every which way. Both natural and artificial stones are subjected to loss of lustre as time passes, the time in which this happens will depend on the kind of weathering and stress they have been subjected to. But this problem can easily be remedied by allowing for varnish or finishing coats to be added over the surface to make their shine long lasting.
The advantages and disadvantages
Artifical stone is composed of trona and natural pigment powder, high performance resin after vacuum casting and molding of the mineral filled polymer composites (referred to as solid surface material or solid board, commonly known as artificial stone), can be widely used in public buildings (hotels, restaurants, Banks, hospitals, exhibition, laboratory, etc.) and a family to decorate, kitchen countertops, commode, hutch is defended metope, table, tea table, window, door cover, etc.), is a kind of reusable, environmental protection and green new building interior decoration materials.
Natural stone material is applied to outdoor which people's traffic is large and the use of years is higher. artificial stones are not used in construction like natural stones. they lend themselves to supporting the structure and must be incorporated into the house design during construction. Artificial stones, on the other hand, do not support the weight of the building. They are merely included for their aesthetic appeal. They adhere to the wall or structural surface like tiles, using glue, cement or screws. They are lighter and easier to install than natural stones and can be installed on almost any type of wall or panel, even after construction is completed.
Natural stone is not affected by time, bring natural beauty .While artificial stone has many colors and patterns to choose from but not as natural as natural stone. Since natural stones are cut out from nature’s mines and quarries, they are of an unique blend, colour and texture that cannot be easily duplicated. This also implies that when obtaining material for a particular project, you must ensure.
Both kinds of stones have their own disadvantages and advantages. Which one you use in construction depends on your purpose, budget and personal taste.
